The NSW and ACT Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Research Network is a multi-university and multi-government agency initiative expanding evidence-based research to reduce and prevent domestic, family and sexual violence.

The Network unites universities and government agencies to create a coordinated research ecosystem focused on domestic, family and sexual violence to impact:
The successful applicant must be accepted as full-time into a PhD program at Charles Sturt University.
PhD recruitment is coordinated at CSU level, using existing systems, processes and networks.
PhD applications can be drawn from existing or potential students, staff members or industry practitioners.
PhD topics/projects should initially be aligned to the high-level themes identified though government engagement, with a view to aligning to sub-themes as recruitment/review progresses.
Projects may be student-driven or co-designed with industry partners, government agencies (NSW Dept of Communities and Justice) and/or other university partner, and should seek to address evidence gaps and improve policy, service delivery and sector workforce development.

Stipend: This scholarship is valued at $38,000 pa (2027 rate) for 3 years full-time study, payable in fortnightly instalments.
Stipend: This scholarship includes a stipend top-up for 3 years full-time study, payable in fortnightly instalments. (Year 1 - $7,140, Year 2 - $7,282.80 and Year 3 - $7,428.50).
Tuition Fees: Fee exemption for a period equivalent to 3.5 years (7 sessions) for PhD at full-time study.
Operating Funds: Scholarship candidates will be provided with funds valued at $2,500 per annum (low cost HDR course) for 3 years full-time study to support costs associated with a candidate's research.
This scholarship is tenable for 3.5 years (3.5 years FTE tuition fee coverage and 3 years FTE for stipend and operating funds allowances).
The successful candidate is entitled to 20 paid annual leave working days per year and 10 paid sick leave days per year and may be eligible for up to 20 weeks of paid primary carer parental leave.
