NHMRC Project Scholarship

HIV PrEP Access Research Scholarship

The NHMRC Ideas Grant project is investigating access to HIV PrEP in queer young men and other MSM. The project is also investigating the knowledge and understanding of GPs of PrEP.

Young queer and other men who have sex with men experience higher rates of HIV infection, resulting in a higher incidence rate of new HIV cases in this population. This CSU and NHMRC project explores the barriers and facilitators to accessing PrEP.

The PhD will identify a priority population/geographical region and investigate the specific barriers and facilitators to accessing PrEP, supported by a 3-year scholarship and RTP Tuition Scholarship.
