Dr Rachel Whitsted
School of Environmental Sciences; Institute for Land, Water and Society
With her research in GIS (Geographical Information Science) and in particular the application of spatial science to environmental and social modelling, Rachel has been involved in developing spatial solutions to demographic, health, ecological and agricultural applications. Her current research is focussed on the integration of spatial science with health and wellbeing of regional and rural communities.
Associate Professor Kelly Spuur
School of Dentistry & Health Science Faculty of Science
Associate Professor Kelly Spuur (nee Bentley) is a qualified and clinically current radiographer with specialisation in diagnostic and screening mammography. Kelly has a broad teaching and research interest in all modalities across the medical radiation sciences. Research interests in the area of breast imaging include: image quality, image quality criteria, positioning, quality assurance, occupational health and safety, workforce, communication and new technologies. She currently teaches into the undergraduate Bachelor of Medical Imaging program and is academic lead for postgraduate subjects.
