About the group

The group provides a collaborative environment that supports interdisciplinary research, knowledge exchange and research capacity building, and the development of innovative approaches to addressing the opportunities and challenges associated with healthy ageing in rural and regional communities.

Research Focus

Our vision is to shape the ageing agenda through meaningful collaboration with older adults, families and caregivers, communities, health and social care providers, industry partners, professional bodies and policy makers.

Group members undertake research across a broad range of ageing and later-life topics, with particular strengths in ageing in rural and regional Australia. Our research focuses on promoting health, wellbeing, participation and quality of life across the lifespan and supporting older people to live well in the communities of their choice.

The Ageing Well Research Group provides a focal point for ageing-related expertise across Charles Sturt University.
