Endeavour Research Fellowship for Indigenous Australians

The Endeavour Research Fellowship for Indigenous Australians provides financial support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows. This support is to undertake short-term research projects overseas, contributing towards an Australian Masters, PhD or postdoctoral research in any field.

Support for 4 - 6 months in duration with up to $24,500 in funding is available.

Australian Research Council (ARC) Indigenous Discovery Scheme

The Discovery Indigenous Scheme provides funding to support research programs led by an Indigenous Australian researcher. It also builds research capacity of higher degree research and early career researchers.

The ARC has an annual round calling for applications, and initial announcements are usually in September each year. The next round will be for funding to commence in 2020. The amount of funding varies and is dependent on what you include in the application.  You can access previous years guidelines and rules and other information.

If you have any enquiries regarding funding you can contact the Research Office for support.
